Gambia U-19 men Beach Volleyball team Enjoy Ministerial call

Gambia’s U-19 men’s beach volleyball team enjoyed a visit to the country’s Minister of Youth and Sports following their exploits at the African Youth Games earlier in July in Algeria, where they finished third to Mozambique and Ghana.
The result means they are through to the 3rd Youth Olympics Games in Argentina this year, and will be among Africa’s three nations to represent the continent in the beach volleyball series.

Beach volleyball team starts camping

Gambia U-18 beach volleyball team on Saturday opened their preparations for this month African Youth Games to be held in Algiers from July 17 to 28 2018.

Mariama Ginadou and Fatoumatta Sillah – two members of the Gambian national team who made a great transition from the African dream project centers – headline the team selection that also includes two male players under coach Pa Barrow.

Gambia to Host Zone II Beach Volleyball Championship

The Gambia will host the eight nation Zone II Beach Volley ball championship in September.

The tournament will be staged from September 6th to 10th in Banjul, with Cape Verde, Sierra Leone, Mali, Guinea, Mauritania, Guinea Bissau, Senegal and host Gambia expected to take part in championship to be competed in both male and female categories.

Volleyball Gambia reaches agreement with Senegal

The National Volleyball Federations of The Gambia and Senegal in efforts to strengthen bilateral relationship between the two countries and in efforts to develop the game of Volleyball amongst the two countries had reached to an agreement to organize an annual international volleyball tournament dubbed ‘’ Senegambia Cup’’.

This is aim at solidifying the brotherly relationship between the two countries through the organization of youth and sports activities and increase the competitiveness of volleyball in the two countries.
