FeralpiSalò sign striker Jawo on loan

Gambian striker Lamin Jawo has joined Italian third-tier club FeralpiSalò on a season-long deal from second-tier Carpi FC.

The 22-year-old, who was on loan at third-tier Robur Siena last season, has been sent out again in search of regular first-team football at Lombardy-based Feralpi, who have an option of turning the loan permanent.

Mo Barrow nets first Reading goal

Gambia winger Modou Barrow scored his first goal for Reading in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

The home side took the lead at the Madejski Stadium in the 49th-minute before Scorpion international Barrow’s first goal for Reading on 55 minutes handed Villa more misery.

Kekuta nets third Columbus goal

Gambian winger Kekuta Manneh scored his third goal of the season for Columbus Crew who achieved perhaps the biggest surprise of the MLS weekend with a 3-1 win over Supporters’ Shield-chasing Chicago Fire.

The Bakau-born player levelled for Columbus in the 18th minute for his 25th MLS career goal and the third of this season since making the move to the Crew.
