Jatta marks injury return with goal

Gambian striker Alassana Jatta made an instant impact on his return from injury as he scored the winning goal in Paide Linnameeskond’s 2-1 victory over JK Tammeka Tartu in the Estonian top-flight at the weekend.

The 20-year-old, who missed Paide’s last six outings through injury, hopped off the bench in the 64th minute with the game levelled at 1-1.

He got his breakthrough in the 85th minute after been set-up by compatriot and teammate Muhammed Sanneh in the left-wing to curl the ball past the Tammeka keeper to secure Paide their third consecutive win of the season.

The goal was Jatta’s third after six outings and the result means Paide remain third on the 10-team Meistriliiga table with 23 points, eight behind leaders FC Flora.

Both Jatta and Sanneh are on loan at the club nicknamed the Estonian Barcelona.
