GFF aspirant Malick Sillah unveils camp

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) presidential aspirant for the August 18th presidential election, Malick Sillah yesterday (Wednesday) unveiled his nine-man executive camp for the upcoming football election in the country.

The executive are: Malick Sillah for President; Abdoulie (Star) Njie, 1st Vice President; Kabba Ceesay, 2nd Vice President; Foday Danjo, 3rd Vice President; Essa Jallow, Exco Member; Musa Jawara, Referee Representative; Mariama Jobarteh, Women Football Representative; Habib Gitteh, and Dodou Bojang all members.

Speaking at the press conference, aspirant Malick Sillah said that they came with the slogan “Change for Change with Dignity” because they want changes in the way football is being administered in the country, noting that they also want to bring back the dignity and glory the beautiful game had in the past.

“Now is the time to change and we must think positively. I want to call the clubs, regional and allied associations and everybody who is supposed to vote in this Congress to sit in their quite corner and reflect on the past 4 years of our football and decide where he or she want to see our game in the next four years,” he said.

Malick called on all stakeholders to reflect, open their eyes and think of how to move football forward.

He went to advise the delegates coming to the congress to vote wisely, saying that the future of football is in their hands of the electorate.

Sillah and incumbent Lamin Kabba Bajo are the two known candidates vying for the top job in Gambian football.
