Dawda Ngum secures Denmark move

Gambia international Dawda Ngum has completed a move to Danish 2nd Division club Brønshøj BK, Gambia Sports can reveal.

The 27-year-old leaves FC Rosengård to move across the river to Denmark where he joined Copenhagen-based Brønshøj after a brief trial.

He joins compatriot Simon Richter at Brønshøj who are pushing to secure promotion to the second-tier of Danish football.

“Dawda is a good player, who has a big race team and is incredibly good at the game of passion. He is lightning fast and creates many dangerous chances. A clear reinforcement of the squad,” says sports director Thomas Ibsen.

“The agreement with Dawda Ngum has come true with the help of a good friend of mine and of the club,” concludes Thomas Ibsen.

The duration of the midfield-cum right-back’s contract wasn’t disclosed but Gambia Sports understands that it’s a one-year contract with an option to extend.

Ngum started his career in 2008 when he joined BK Olympic before moving to Trelleborg FF and FC Höllviken until a recent move to Rosengård in 2017, clocking 1187 minutes in 17 appearances.
