Modou Jobe debut in Nigerian Premier League

Gambia international goalkeeper Alhagie Modou Jobe has made his debut for El-Kanemi Warriors, four months after joining the Nigerian Premier League club.

Toldo, as fondly called, joined the Maiduguri-based club from Senegalese side ASC Linguère in November but he was made to wait for his debut for the struggling side.

His patience was finally rewarded after coach Imama Amapakabo favored him for the number one spot in the team’s goalless draw with Niger Tornadoes at the Maiduguri Township Stadium.

El-Kanemi Warriors are currently finding life very uncomfortable at the drop zone of the standings with 12 points after 11 outings.

Jobe will hope his performance against Tornadoes will earn him a starting spot when they visit Ilorin to play the league’s bottom side Kwara United on Sunday.
