Sanneh debuts for Midtjylland in win over Horsens

Scorpions defender Bubacarr Sanneh made a winning start to his FC Midtjylland career as they secured a 2-0 win over former club AC Horsens on Friday.

The 23-year-old swapped Horsens for their Danish Superliga rivals in November, signing a four-year contract with the 2014/15 league champions.

He returned to his former thumping ground at the CASA Arena with Midtjylland though he has to be contended with a place on the bench before being handed his debut by coach Jess Thorup in the 63rd minute to guide them to a 2-0 win.

He wrote on social media after the match: “Pleased to have made my debut for FC Midtjylland and get on the winning end. Many thanks to the AC Horsens fans for the nice reception, I appreciate it and will like to wish the Club the best for the rest of the season! Unto the next one, forza #FCM!!”

The win sends the Herning-based club to the top of the Danish first-tier with 47 points after 20 games.

They are on a six-game winning streak and will host record Danish champions FC Copenhagen at the MCH Arena on February 18.
