The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) will soon get a new technical director, a reliable source has told Gambia Sports.

Ebrima Manneh was the technical director of the GFF but did not enjoy a cordial working relationship with the GFF.

He was, together with the former Secretary General Abass Bah, asked to stay home few months before the end of their contracts.

The GFF has since appointed Lamin Jassey as the new Secretary General, who assumed office on 2nd January 2017.

Since the advertisement was made, many people are said to have applied for the TD portfolio including Senior Scorpions Coach Sang Ndong, who is likely to be the next TD.

Meanwhile, unless something changes, former U20 Coach Omar Sise will replace Ndong as the National Team Coach.

Coach Matarr Mbodge is the new U20 gaffer and Coach Abdoulie Bojang is to take charge of the U17.

When contacted by Gambia Sports, Ebou Faye, GFF 2nd Vice President confirmed that the process is ongoing and soon they will make the announcement.

However, he won’t disclose who the applicants are.
