Just barely 24 hours after Barcelona icon Rivaldo asked the club and its fans to join and work in the same direction and raised doubts over the La Masia academy, the club’s reserve had other plans by allowing two of its players to train with CE Sabadell FC.
One of the player’s is Gambia-born Alasana Manneh. Days prior to the La Liga season opener, you talk of real crises starting to engulf one of the best clubs in our generation. Alasana is currently training with the Catalonia-based club with the latest development only hinting a possible loan or permanent deal.
The Gambian and former Aspire academy product was promoted to the Barca B team in July and once train with the senior squad featuring Lionel Messi and Neymar earlier this year. Nobody can doubt the qualities of Moro and maybe the coach thinks he needs development and game time that’s why he’ll be sent out on loan.
Having passed through one of the best academy in the world, Alasana has the world at his feet and any move won’t damage him rather build him for the greatest that awaits him.
Elsewhere in the northern end of Germany, Wolfsburg have decided to enquire from Hamburg about the availability of Gambian forward Bakery Jatta though their Sporting Director has squashed those reports as mere speculation.
Kanu as fondly called, made his Bundesliga debut last season and played the club’s last four matches to push them to retain their league status.
